What am I paying for?

You pay for visibility: your company name is displayed on a Christmas tree in the Treetop Cup forest and on the public leaderboard. The more you pay, the taller your tree and the higher your place.

How much does it cost?

You choose. Each payment can be from $1 to $50,000 (US dollars). Payments to the same company add up.

How is the tree size calculated?

Height is 10 cm times the square root of the total paid in dollars, so the area of the tree is proportional to the money: $100 is 1 m, $400 is 2 m, $10,000 is 10 m.

Do I need an account?

No. You only enter the company name and pay. We do not ask for any other information.

Can someone else pay for my company's tree?

Yes. Anyone can make a company's tree grow by entering the same name. Names are matched regardless of upper or lower case.

How does the time zone competition work?

When New Year arrives in each time zone, the tallest tree at that moment wins that midnight. The grand final is decided on Baker Island (UTC−12), the last place on Earth to change year. Winning gives recognition on the site only; there is no cash or physical prize.

Is payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe on its own secure page. Your card details never reach this website.

Can I get a refund?

See our refund policy. In short: we refund duplicate charges, technical errors and names we have to remove.

Can I change the company name after paying?

Write to simplelogin-newsletter.exile221@simplelogin.com with your payment receipt and we will fix typos in the name.
